INTERVIEW

1. What slogan would represent you and your art the most?

 - "Creativity Is Contagious. Pass It On" as quoted by Albert Einstein

I am an active promoter of culture especially classical music. I would like to share with that immense world of esthetic ideals with many listeners that I can touch. Many listeners become true music lovers after visiting our concerts, and some of them open own creativity and begin to study music with a big interest.

2. What do you value the most in music?

 - Its no-comprise approach. The Music does not forgive negligent attitude to itself. The concert should be performed flawlessly and the piece shall be lived through. You cannot fool listener. When you understand the composer’s concept and pass the Music through yourself, the magic happens “here and now” in the concert hall. At this moment, energies of performers and listeners resonate, this feeling cannot be compared with anything.

3. Many musicians say that they get to know themselves more and open own new talents because of your art…How the music influenced you?

 - I believe that the Music as a sport trains your power first. Music is an excellent platform for achievements that requires constant development.

4. What does music mean to you?

 - Non-physical manifestation of humanity. Music is the vein that can both create and destroy. In my work, I pay special attention to such criteria as the ideological component and ecology of sound, both in performance technique and in repertoire. After all, we are the performers who are responsible for inner condition of the listener during the concert and his moral development.

5. Who are your idols?

  - The term “idol” is not clear to me, but I can definitely say that there are a lot of people whom I respect and admire – they are my teachers, colleagues and students.  On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude once again to my Violin Teacher, Accompanist of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Mrs.Popova Lidia Vladislavovna, my String Quartet Teacher - Professor, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Akbarov Anvar Askarovich for the knowledge they gave me, for the love of music that they cultivated in me and which I can pass to my students.  I would like to thank my colleagues, wonderful musicians, soloists of our string quartet "GATOB QUARTET" - Oxana Nurshayeva, Nurlan Sagimbayev and Aidar Kuspanov for their talent and dedication to high art.

6. If you weren't a musician, what would you be?

 -  Besides the Music, I am engaged in various types of activities, and the main part of it is devoted to social life and charity. The creative approach helps in all activities when the idea is born then the way is found how it should be implemented.

7. Do you think that musicians have all opportunities to become popular and successful in Kazakhstan (on globally)? Why?

 - Considering both my case and the cases of my colleagues who are successful musicians in demand, I can say in confidence that opportunities are everywhere, and the main task is to seize them on time.

8. What is the ideal life for you as a musician?

 - Ideal life for me is to do what you love, improve yourself and make the World kinder.
