"Music is a kind of Art that breathes and exists only during performance"

AA&A / Abulkhair Sagimbayev ENG: Service

What slogan would represent you and your art the most?

Genre, trend or style is not important for  good Music.

What do you value the most in music?

Its versatility, adaptation to different eras and situations, as well as its ability to revive any person emotionally.

Many musicians say that they get to know themselves more and open own new talents because of your art…How the music influenced you?

Ability to compose. I am not a professional composer, but due to my activities I discovered in myself the power to create and adapt Music

What does music mean to you?

Music is a kind of Art that breathes and exists only during performance.

Who are your idols?

I could not say that I have one to impersonate, but there are a lot of Musicians whom I admire. Among Composers, there are a series of brilliant academic Composers staring from Bach to Stravinskiy.  Among Conductors I rave over K. Kleiber, A.Toscanini, E.Mravinsky. And among Performers of Kazakh traditional art I marvel at skill of Kurmangazy, Sugir, Kazangap, Akan Seri and etc.

If you weren't a musician, what would you be?

I could not see myself elsewhere else. But it definitely would be such a sphere related to creativity and art. And if I immerse myself in fantasies I would probably be a Doctor))

Do you think that musicians have all opportunities to become popular and successful in Kazakhstan (on globally)? Why?

Of course, there's always a room for Musicians and a large number of international stars of academic musical world are very proof of this.  As a young and emerging country, Kazakhstan also extend opportunities for talented, gifted and hardworking Musicians, perhaps less ambitious...but anything is possible to a willing heart.

What is the ideal life for you as a musician?

As for me, it is the life of Musician giving concerts and who has all opportunities to fulfill his every creative idea.
